Software or Solution?

I watched Nanny 911 this morning and the home of Dunleavy realized they have several houses, aiming to move from one house to a bigger one every time; but what they did not have is a home.
Consultants and technology firms always suggest the greatest, latest and biggest technology to clients; but sometimes, even after spending a lot of money, a solution that increases their value still doesn’t exist.

I believe this holds true in a lot of industries from hairdressing, fashion, food catering, etc. what matters most is what is best for the client in the short and long-term perspective not how fancy and glamorous the idea is.
Focus on providing the solution not the software.
