I am reading this article from MaximumPC about Kindle’s inability to capture Academic usage requirements.
Students from Princeton, University of Virginia and Reed College notes that Kindle is slow going back and forth pages, and bookmarking is inferior both are critical to academic routing.
23-year old graduate student Roesner says — “You don’t read textbooks in the same linear way as a novel. You have to flip back and forth between pages, an the Kindle is too slow for that. Also, the bookmarking function is buggy.”
Kindle is a great innovation but different people have different requirements. The critical part is how Amazon respond to these problems faster than their competitors.
