I have reported how a mailmen would suffer from Mind Blowing CEO Riches. This time Bush argues during his “State of the Economy” speech how CEO compensation should be tied to their performance and CEOs enormous salary doesn’t sit well to the country’s investors.

I have worked in a number of companies that make you sign contracts which doesn’t allow you to work for a competitor two years after you have left them; never had I seen them go after employees if they do work for a competitor.
I am so grateful to my past employers for allowing me and everyone else to work for direct competitors even if our contracts prohibited us from doing so.
They would argue that they wanted the best future for us and as a sign of our gratitude we would always tell stories and recommend fine employees to work for them. Sometimes, people go back and work for them knowing the kind of company they are.

Congratulations to Stuart Rose for winning World Leadership Forum’s Business Leader of the Year Award.
The non-profit organization chose Stuart from among 1,000 medium-large British businesses for his successful leadership at Marks and Spencer. He began his CEO career at Marks in May 2004 and has helped the company through six successive quarter of growth.
Marks’ annual profit is expected to finish in the tune of £1bn.

In Rockwell Power Plant (Commercial Center in the Philippines) you would be able to find a different target market of Dunkin Donuts which caters to the high end consumers.
When I first saw their store a year ago I was surprised to see large Donuts that cost 3 times the normal ones I have known for more than ten years. I quickly asked their staff a few questions while I was purchasing donuts; I learned it was the first of its type and that they were the only location that sold high end Dunkin donuts.

I was at Jollibee (local hamburger fast-food chain) yesterday and noticed the store manager holding a stopwatch and recording time transactions on a specific cashier.
I thought how much time the manager was wasting standing and doing a non-managerial task. Holding the stopwatch doesn’t give you accurate data as per the customer, number of orders made and kinds of food ordered. I ought to demote him or his upper management with that kind of thinking.
