French and their Fortunate Work Culture

French already implements a 35-hour work week and generous vacation. That is very fortunate for them as most people I know wish they could work for less than 70 hours a week.

The French people got more fortunate as their minister is seriously looking into benefits of allowing them to take a nap on the job. This is awesome and how I wish it could be implemented in our workplace.

There are no Trials. It’s either You Do it or You Don’t

I saw a picture of a boy trying to do a somersault while people looking and cheering him on. The caption read: There is no such thing as tryouts. It’s either you do it or you don’t.

So many people are afraid to lose that whenever they engage in competitive activities they condition themselves and their friends that they are just trying things out. People would go in a defensive mode emphasizing the lack of preparation and as such no high expectations were set.

This is a loser mindset. Don’t be afraid to lose. Whenever you go and participate in any competitive activities think about giving everything you got and aim to win. It doesn’t matter if you fail because all that matters is you went all out for the win.

How to Be the Optimistic Good Guy

An optimistic person sends out a positive aura that grabs people to mingle and like you. Optimism helps a person become far more productive which contributes to greater success.

Unfortunately there are a lot of people who are pessimistic; they find it convenient to fill their minds with negative thoughts rather than hope and optimism. The find that expecting nothing is better than hoping for something and end up disappointed.

Spend Your Holiday Bonus Wisely

A couple were proud to show me their new expensive celfone which they bought using all their 13th month pay and charge the rest to their credit card. It was definitely none of my business how they spend their money but knowing they are living on debt makes me think they could use their holiday bonus wiser than buying new phones especially when they are already using expensive phones that are just a year old.
