I can understand your dilemma as I have been in that situation before. I used that as an opportunity to build my negotional and persuasion skills. But later on as I have figured out it would not do anything to advance my career or skill set; I moved on. :) Hope you don't get frustrated in being a visionary but continously hone your skill on that aspect.
