How Long Should You Stay in a Job?

I am puzzled on some of my colleagues who refuse to look for another job when all signs indicate they should move on such as happiness, motivation, progression, salary, etc. They see a lot of negative signs and no where near promotion or a great career ahead, but still they stay longer than I could understand.

Never underestimate your Clients’ Complaint, no matter how funny it might seem

I received this email from a colleague about the great customer service shown by General motors which proved vital in solving a major flow of the car. I feel inspired on the attitude and perception of the company as I have received so many funny problems from software users a number of times, only to find out that their complaint were due to a bug we didn’t detect.

What To Do When People Grab Credit from Your Hard work?

Does the title ring a bell? Have you experienced anyone in the corporate world taking credit from your efforts? It’s a nightmare working with credit grabbers, and worst when they get recognition or even promotion off your brilliance, it could mean a long and difficult career progression for you.

How do you spot credit grabbers?

There are lots of medium that a co-worker could grab credit from you which include presentations, emails, meetings, etc. where credit grabbers could end up with a better image and possibly get progressed faster. It’s not difficult to identify these kinds of people and one simple indication could be when the person quotes something brilliant you have said or told him in a casual conversation without telling people listening to the person the origin of the brilliant ideas.

Buster Martin as the Oldest Worker in London is an Inspiration
